Rompope & Liqueurs

Martinez Brands offers two of the established liquers from Mexico and Spain. Rompope is a low-proof cream-based liqueur that in the U.S. belongs to the category of cordials (sweetened distilled spirits), but in Mexico is a unique category of its own. There are many regional varieties but none with the familiarity and popularity of Rompope Coronado across all segments of the Mexican market. Anis del Mono is the oldest and most establish after-dinner liqueur from Spain. It is one of a pair of aniseed spirits in a similar vein to ouzo or sambuca. Both of these heritage liquers are enjoyed straight, on the rocks, as mixers or secret ingredients for traditional desserts and cuisine.

Tequila

Tequila is obviously a well-established category with an appellation of origin that allows for exclusive production only in the protected zone designated by law in Mexico. It is also an extremely saturated category, but one with enormous innovative drive that allows for an ever-growing array of new products and brands to target and engage new audiences.

Mezcal & Agave Spirits

Mezcal is actually the older sister of the tequila category. She is finally getting her due as mezcal takes the Mexican and U.S. markets by storm. Its ancestral and mystical associations, wide range of agave sources and regional varieties are driving this fast growing category of Mexican spirit imports. Other types of agave-based spirits have also risen to the forefront of consumer preferences reflecting the wide range of tastes and interests of consumers.

Rum & Sugar Cane Spirits

A variety of spirits are distilled from sugar cane. Among these, Martinez Brands features three. We start with one of the few rums that is aged naturally without chemical additives — Ron Medellin Añejo. Followed by “aguardiente,” think “firewater,” the #1 selling spirit from Colombia. There are two in our portfolio, each with a unique flavor and demographic profile — Antioqueño Aguardiente and Blanco del Valle Aguardiente. Finally, what can best be described as “mexican moonshine,” — Alcohol Vicario, a 98-proof sugar cane distillate used for party punches, home remedies, cooking and even morning coffee.

Whisky

Hispanic and Asian consumers are currently the most important growth-drivers in the U.S. in the scotch whisky category. These ethnic groups view scotch as a symbol of prestige and success.

Non-Alcoholic Products

Martinez Brands offers other Mexican brands outside of the spirits category. Sangrita is a traditional tequila-chaser, extremely popular in Mexico and gaining popularity in the U.S. every day. Viuda de Perez Sangrita offers the best value of its category.
